Is that him saying he wants to stay... or the Board have made a decision that he IS staying?

Yes, official statement on the main club website now. McLeish's job is safe

(Well, it does say as long as we're promoted next season!)

Not going to another game or giving the club any of my money whilst this clown Is still In charge......

Confirms to me that we are In a dire financial situation....... We obviously can't afford to sack him.....

I see very, very bad times ahead....

If its true i can understand why,
It costs a lot to get rid and he has the experience to know whats needed to get out,
But he must change his way of playing.

This, but I doubt very much if he will.

When their £80m investment in the club is worth £8m they will only have themselves to blame. idiots.

Good . Good to see quick and decisive action from the board. Contrast it with the shambles at West Ham when they were thinking of replacing Grant.
I think the first thing Eck should do is look for a new number two. Things seemed to get a lot worse when Aitkin left.
Also how about appointing Phillips as a strikers coach. ( Of course we'd have to get some in first for him to work with ! )

Yesterday Mcleish said that the only way blues would get promotion was if we hung on to our key players; Foster, Dann etc

Today McLeish has been backed by the board who expect automatic promotion.

I would rather Eck had gone, but an early decision is better than 3 weeks of specualtion. Does anyone else think that this early decision indicates that the board are prepared to hang on to key players for another season at least? The fact that they expect automatic promotion would also indicate that our finances are not as dire as you would seem, and with Eck staying it is likely that McFadden and Ferguson will stay too.

or am i just clutching at straws here

So you're reasoning for seeing bad financial and playing times ahead under Eck is to purposefully boycott your club and any monetary and morale support you could give them by turning up to games? Unbelievable.
